Life’s happiest moments include becoming a parent. Most clients come into our photography studio for their newborn session because we make it easy and have absolutely everything you need. We also have a handful of clients who prefer to do a newborn session in their home. One reason we love doing an in home newborn session is to showcase the perfectly decorated nursery the parents put together for their little one. WHAT WOULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STUDIO SESSION AND HOME SESSION?

At the studio, we have a lot of backdrops, and a wide variety of props to use, whereas at home sessions are considered “lifestyle”, with minimal props, and a lot more candid moments. Both options appeal to clients, it all depends on what you prefer! We have a controlled temperature and most times an assistant will be present to help out with certain poses.

For at-home sessions, we bring only small props, tiny plush animals, wraps, and outfits. No backdrops or larger props. We utilize your home as a perfect backdrop for the session – many photos take place in the nursery or master bedroom. Where possible we would use available window light for a more natural approach.
